Free upgrade: Garmin now has the nuMap guarantee
The nuMap guarantee applies to one Garmin nuvi or zumo unit. Not
transferable to any other person or product. You will qualify for the free map
update only if (i) you register your nuvi or zumo online at
my.garmin.com
within 60 days of first acquiring satellites while driving with your device, and
(ii) a newer version of the map data was or has become available. You will not qualify for the free map update if
you register your nuvi or zumo with Garmin by telephone or more than 60 days
after first acquiring satellites while driving with your device. Limit of one
free map update per unit
Chargeable upgrades:
The
nuMaps Onetime update CD is available now for AU$99 - updates one
GPS for one map update.
The
nuMaps Lifetime subscription card is available now for AU$189 -
updates one GPS as often as you like. Quarterly map updates will be available
soon. Includes all of Australia and NZ maps, downloaded from the Internet.
There are two methods of upgrading, 'do it yourself' or we can do it for you
Do it yourself:
- If your upgrade is chargeable then you can either purchase a nuMaps
Onetime update CD or register your GPS and download it. Contact
GPSOZ to purchase.
- If you believe that your upgrade is free then you will need to create a myGarmin account and register your unit on Garmin's website -

GPSOZ update service:
We can perform the mapping upgrade for you at our
Mona Vale store by bringing in your unit or
sending it to us
We will also
upgrade your unit to the latest firmware.
For GPS purchased from GPSOZ we our load our latest safety camera
location file to suitable units (nuvis, zumo etc).
When sending us your GPS please supply the following information:
Your name
Return address
Daytime phone number
Email address (if you have one)
GPSOZ receipt number (if you have one)
GPS serial number
Your myGarmin username and password if unit registered
List any other mapping products loaded and provide unlock codes for these.
