Some experiences:
Thanks so much for the service you guys offer. We could not have survived
without it. Walking around Paris would have been a nightmare without it, as
everything looks the same. I even helped a couple of lost people find their way
back to their Hotel using it. It had all the main attractions we wished to see
like the Eiffel Tower, Moulen Rouge etc etc when you search for them by name.
We became so reliant on it that we stopped looking at signs to our detriment.
One time I did a word search for Hertz It found several and I chose the one we
needed to go to on Rue De Rivolli number 99. It took us there no problem
announcing that we were arriving at Hertz, so here were two Aussies with all
their luggage and a GPS in hand standing dumbfounded in front of the Louvre
Museum, expecting to see a Hertz car rental place. Turns out it is under the
Louvre, who would have thought. Some lateral thinking and a few very small
signs later we found it.
We had it set to not take us on toll ways and drove all over Normandy including
the D-Day beaches and the cotentin peninsula down to Mont Saint Michel and
Britany and over to the Somme it actually found a few places of interest not on
the tourist trail which were all attached to the card. It took us down some
very narrow roads, as can be seen by the pic, to the smallest of cute towns and
never got us lost. I searched for Australian Memorial and it found the WW1
memorial near Bretanaux and took us there without a problem. We found two of my
wifes relatives and one of my own there, we had to look them up in the book the
GPS was not that clever. A couple of times we left it off and drove around
little towns and just turned it back on when we were lost so we could get home,
didn't have to worry about a thing, accept driving on the right side of the road

Thanks again. Looking forward to my trip to Italy in the coming years and
getting lost in Tuscany, knowing I can get back on track when I need to.
Cheers
Brett
